Prize draw rules
iPad prize draw April to June 2012
- To enter the prize draw you must be:
- a) Resident in UK and:
- b) Able to demonstrate you have an HIV positive diagnosis (proof of diagnosis will be required prior to awarding of prizes).
- c) A fully registered member of www.myhiv.org.uk
- d) You must have completed a LifeCheck quiz between 18 April 2012 and 14 June 2012. LifeCheck quizzes can be found at: https://www.myhiv.org.uk/My-account/My-life-check either as part of site registration or as an existing member of the site.
- Closing date for entries is midnight on 14 June 2012.
- The prize draw is not open to employees of Terrence Higgins Trust (or members of their immediate families), their agents or anyone professionally connected with this promotion.
- Information provided by participants in registering for this prize draw will be used in line with Terrence Higgins Trust's privacy policy which can be found at http://www.myhiv.org.uk/Footer/Privacy-Statement. Your personal details will not be disclosed to third parties.
- Only one entry per person or per e-mail address.
- Fraudulent entries, false names, false HIV status, false contact details and any other non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions including full proof of identity will immediately mean full forfeit of the prize(s) by the winner. Terrence Higgins Trust reserves the right to seek verification of full compliance with these Terms and Conditions including full proof of identity and HIV status before any prize can be claimed. If Terrence Higgins Trust is not satisfied the winner has identified themselves honestly or in a legally correct way at any time, any prize will be forfeited.
- There is no cash or other prize alternative in whole or in part to the stated prize, and, unless otherwise agreed with the Promoter, the prize will be awarded directly to the winner only.
- Owing to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, if an advertised prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
- All valid and complete entries will be entered into a draw. There is one prize to be won. The first entry drawn at random under independent supervision will win a new iPad with Wi-Fi 16GB - black.
- The winner will be contacted by email by 1 July 2012 for details of UK delivery address.
- The prize will be sent to the winner within 28 days of receipt of details of UK delivery address.
- Any prize not claimed within four weeks of the winner being notified will be forfeited and another winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries received.
- In line with the Promoter’s strict confidentiality undertakings regarding medical information, the release of the winner’s full name and county will be regarded as excessive personal information under the CAP Code and will not be released. For the surname and/or county of the winner only, please send an SAE to The Social Marketing Manager, Terrence Higgins Trust, 314 -320 Gray's Inn Road, London WC1X 8DP within three months of the closing date.
- The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Terrence Higgins Trust reserves the right to amend these rules at any time, owing to circumstances outside its reasonable control and where circumstances make this unavoidable.
- Entry into the draw will be deemed to constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- iPad is a trademark of Apple Inc. registered in US and other countries. Apple is not a participant in or sponsor of this promotion.

Online counselling
- Our online counselling service is run in conjunction with the George House Trust and the Terrence Higgins Trust HIV Health Trainers service.
- The online counselling service is based in the UK and subject to UK laws.
- Online counselling is a convenient way of exploring personal issues that concern you from the comfort of your own home. You will need to feel reasonably comfortable using a computer and be aware that sometimes technology can present its own problems.
- Terrence Higgins Trust do not warrant that its counselling service will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to implement sufficient procedures and virus checks (including anti-virus and other security checks) to satisfy your particular requirements.
- Online counselling can work well but sometimes there’s no substitute for talking to someone.You can contact THT Direct for information, support and advice about HIV and sexual health.
- If you are feeling suicidal or you are experiencing an immediate crisis, please seek immediate help. The Samaritans offer a 24-hour phone and web service (08457 90 90 90). Online counselling is not a crisis service.
Membership
- Signing up for Terrence Higgins Trust membership indicates that you agree with the aims, objectives and values of Terrence Higgins Trust.
- Please only register once. Anyone signing up for or found to have multiple membership accounts will have them cancelled.
- We want to hear your views on what THT is doing and we welcome constructive criticism. However, we reserve the right to refuse or remove membership from anyone whose correspondence or actions are abusive, libellous or intended to undermine or disrupt.
- We will not share your details with any external organisation without your consent.
- If you would like to fundraise for us, we would welcome this but we ask you to please contact our fundraising team in advance of any activity.
- As part of your membership, you will obtain access to a range of our publications. Please seek permission before using any materials provided for commercial purposes. Unless otherwise stated, permission is not required for personal use or sharing with friends.
- Please share our information with appropriate audiences. Terrence Higgins Trust deals with matters relating to sex and relationships and as such some of our materials will be of an adult nature. Please do not communicate material to those who may not want them.
