Walk for Life

Walk for Life

Thank you to all of you who joined us at Walk For Life 2011 and made it such a huge success!

Hundreds of you voyaged down the Yellow Brick Road in weird, wonderful and downright incredible fancy dress outfits to raise much needed funds and show London and the UK that HIV is still very much on the agenda.

We couldn’t be prouder to have organised Walk For Life for the first time as Terrence Higgins Trust and have such an amazing level of support; and plans are already ‘afoot’ (feet based puns always intended at Walk For Life!) for next year so keep your eyes and ears open for news coming soon. We can’t wait to see you all again in 2012!

Those of you who stayed with us for the afternoon and battled your way through enough rain to melt the Wicked Witch of the West and all her friends were treated to an array of fantastic performances from The Gay Gordons, London Gay Men’s Chorus, 4 Poofs and a Piano and the wonderful Beverley Knight, we hope that you enjoyed yourselves dancing in the rain, we know that we certainly did!

The fundraising total is coming soon, but remember that the online fundraising is open for another 2 months, so you can still raise even more. Any offline sponsorship money raised can be sent to: Walk For Life, Terrence Higgins Trust, Grays Inn Road, London, WC1X 8DP, and remember to write your name on the back of any cheques so that we know that it’s you who has raised the money.

We’ve still got a couple of raffle prizes to give out, so if you bought a raffle ticket and your numbers were:  green 103, blue 76, blue 26 or yellow 46 please get in touch at walk@walkforlife.co.uk as you’ve won a prize!

Thank you for all your support!
