Community forums

Do you want to meet other people living with HIV and share experiences in a secure and confidential forum?

The forums are your place to link in with other people living with HIV and join discussions about key topics.

They have proved really popular and have been a source of inspiring stories and touching support as well as a wellspring for the sharing of knowledge.

an online chat room

And on a more personal note, you can also find new friends or a date by posting a personal ad in our Looking to Meet section. Unlike the general forum where posts are in open discussion threads, Looking to Meet works via private message, so that you can respond discreetly.

The forums have a seperate membership from myHIV so you'll need to join myHIV first and then go on to join the forums.

We developed this specially to reassure you that they were a secure and private place, and also to remind you that your forum identity is public to other forum users. For this reason you might not want to use your real name in the forums as other people living with HIV will see it there.

The forums work like any other online forum. There's topics on various aspects of living with HIV where you can chat, ask questions, and share your opinions. Each topic has a moderator who makes sure that the chat doesn't break the forum rules (and you can see those when you sign up).

Why register?

Registering with myHIV allows you to access this secure confidential service, and many others. You don't even have to register with your real name. You can find out more by watching the video to the right.
